DIY Crafting workshops

First of all we are adding things all the time, but our favorites right now are: Custom Wood Burning, Glass Enamel Painting (drinking glasses/coasters), Laser Engraving (Tumblers, etc), Custom T-Shirt and Hat making!

The wood burning is so much fun!  We have wood burning irons and pre-prepared cross sections of wood along with a bunch of designs for you to choose from. (Indiana related, Sports, fun, nature or you can make your own design or company logo, etc)  We will walk you through how to use transfer paper to put the design on the wood and then show you how to use the iron to burn it into the wood.  After that you’re off to the races and we’re there to support when you have questions! This was our first crafting option here at The Hangar and is still a crowd favorite!

We need designs 2 weeks in advance.  We are even open to helping with designs (shoutout chatgpt and canva), but essentially what we do is we have the heat press equipment on site.  We order soft blend shirts of your color choice and the design transfers from a 3rd party.  When you guys arrive to The Hangar you heat up the press, position the transfers / shirt and utilize the steps to make the shirt (we’ll show you how to do it).  Experiences appreciate in value, PLUS you leave with some custom merch to remind you of the fun you had!

Yep! We have different options of hats (trucker, dad hats, you name it) and “patches” that you can choose from.  The design is of course up to you, but we can do rubber, leather, fabric and they are heat pressed onto the hats with a process we’ll show you how to do, in-house.  The product doesn’t look like a “patch” but that’s the best word we can use to explain it.  Similar to the t-shirts we just need 2 weeks notice on the design so we can order the hats/logos from our supplier.  Once that is done you just show up and have fun creating!

We’ve done public crafting parties in the past, but right now we are only offering it if you book a venue rental.  We do small and big parties though so don’t feel like your group won’t fit or be too small. All you have to do is take 30 seconds to fill out a venue rental request form and based on your numbers and date we’ll let you know what the options are.  For example, if it’s inside 2 weeks notice and we are open (no current bookings) the possibilities to do smaller groups are more of a possibility.  We’re flexible so hit us up!
